IMMERSION SUMMER CAMP 2021
Kids Ages: 5 to 11 year old
Participants will spend much of their time outside playing games, building things, doing science experiments and making art/crafts. As they play, they will learn words and sentences in Spanish or French.
Join us for a fulfilling creative experience this summer with our imaginary trips around the world. We will travel together to different countries, and learn about their cultures and traditions while playing.
Camp capacity will be very limited due to COVID restrictions, so be sure to register early! The program will run weekly from JULY 5 to AUGUST 20, 2021 ( 7 weeks ). We offer immersive language play opportunities in Spanish, and French.
Previous knowledge of Spanish or French is not required to participate.
Benefits of our summer camp
- A fun, natural way for your children to learn a language outside of the rigors of academic curriculum.
- Participants will spend much of their time outside playing games, building things, doing science experiments and making art/crafts. As they play, they will learn words and sentences in Spanish or French.
- Children will develop greater cultural sensitivity, empathy and tolerance towards others as we explore countries and cultures from around the world.
- Learning words and expressions in a new language increases the development of participants’ cognitive abilities.
- Children who already know some French or Spanish will nurture the values of cooperation and sharing as they support other learners.
- Our camps are in small groups which gives children more chances to participate. Maximum cohort size is 16 with class sizes limited to 7 participants per teacher.
- No previous knowledge of French or Spanish is required. We are here to learn while having fun.
IN-PERSON SUMMER CAMP
Overview
Come and join us in person this summer in Calgary, AB. Camps will run by week with the option for FULL DAY or HALF DAY. For half days, you can choose between mornings or afternoons. There are 7 weeks available to choose from. The languages to play in are Spanish and French and it is suitable for children between 5 – 11 years old. No previous knowledge in the language is required. We are here to learn while having fun.

FULL DAY: 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Friday
WEEKLY TUITION:
CAD $375.00
• Before & after care from 8:30AM – 4:30PM is available for children enrolled full-day for an additional $25 per week.
HALF DAY: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM or 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM Monday through Friday

Learn circus skills, explore the Biodôme, chill out at the beach. Some of the language learning will include beach activities and animals from the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
Scenic Switzerland
July 12 to July 16
Explore Castles, the alps, and make a clock. Some of the language learning will include housing, furniture and outdoor activities
Fabulous France
July 19 to July 23
Climb the Eiffel Tower, attend a masquerade, create Louvre art. Some of the language learning will include describing people and things.
Marvelous Montreal
July 26 to July 30

Terrific Tahiti

Create a flower crown, learn a dance, go on a treasure hunt. Some of the language learning will include emotional conditions and foods.

Explore a shipwreck, erupt a volcano, observe dolphins. Some of the language learning will include ocean animals and beach activities.

Priceless Peru

Visit Machu Picchu, meet rainforest animals, make an Inca mask. Some of the language learning will include rainforest animals and describing people and things.
Splendid Spain
July 12 to July 16
Build a castle, flamenco dance and attend festivals. Some of the language learning will include housing and festival activities.
Magnificent Mexico
July 19 to July 23
Explore cenotes, enjoy the beach and go snorkeling. Some of the language learning will include beach activities and ocean animals.
Priceless Peru
July 26 to July 30

Captivating Costa Rica
August 9 to August 13
Erupt a volcano, meet sloths and make a hummingbird feeder. Some of the language learning will include beach activities and ocean animals.
Glorious Guatemala
August 16 to Aug 20
Try hand weaving, explore Mayan ruins, go surfing. Some of the language learning will include emotional conditions and foods.
