1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing the website (polyglots.ca) or registering for any program, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and parents/guardians of students enrolled in our programs.
2. Program Descriptions & Philosophy
The Polyglots Method: Our programs utilize a 100% play-based immersion method in French and Spanish.
Target Audience: Programs are designed for children ages 5–12, including beginners and students currently enrolled in French or Spanish immersion schools.
Nature of Service: We provide recreational and educational immersion experiences through games, music, and social interaction. Our curriculum is non-academic and focused on natural language acquisition.
3. Registration & Enrollment
Third-Party Portals: Registrations are processed through the Corsizio platform. Users are subject to Corsizio’s privacy and security terms during the checkout process.
Eligibility: Children must meet the age requirements for their specific group (Explorers, Adventurers, or Navigators). For summer camps, 4-year-olds are eligible if they are registered for Kindergarten in the upcoming school year.
4. Fees, Payments, and Discounts
Currency: All fees are listed and processed in Canadian Dollars (CAD).
Discounts: A sibling and multi-week discount of $25 per additional full-day registration (or $12.50 for half-day) is available.
Materials: Program fees include all art and science materials required for the sessions.
5. Calgary Summer Immersion Camps
Locations: Camps are held at various Calgary locations, including Banff Trail, Crescent Heights, Dalhousie, and Lakeview.
Drop-off/Pick-up: Standard drop-off begins at 8:50 AM for morning sessions and 12:50 PM for afternoon sessions. Parents must sign the attendance list daily before departing with their child.
Safety: For the safety of our campers, parents are requested to wait outside the program doors during pick-up.
6. Online and Private Classes
Technology Requirements: Parents are responsible for ensuring students have a stable internet connection and necessary hardware (e.g., headsets or tablets) for online sessions.
Class Size: To maintain immersion quality, online group classes are limited to a maximum of 6 students.
7. Cancellations & Refunds
(Standard Industry Recommendation)
Cancellations: Requests for cancellations must be made in writing. Refunds may be subject to administrative fees depending on the notice period provided before the program start date.
Absences: No refunds or make-up classes are guaranteed for student absences.
8. Conduct and Safety
Behavioral Expectations: Polyglots maintains a “Brave Space” where respect and safety are paramount. We reserve the right to dismiss a student if their behavior is consistently disruptive or unsafe.
Health & Allergies: Parents must disclose all relevant medical information and allergies during registration. We strive to maintain nut-free environments at all Calgary locations.
